황준하 Junha Hwang

황준하는 도시의 밤을 배경으로, 감정의 결과 정서적 잔향이 스며든 장면을 사진으로 기록해왔다. 걷기라는 일상적 행위를 통해 익숙한 도시 공간을 다시 감각하고, 그 안에서 어둠이 드러내는 감정의 층위를 천천히 읽어간다. 그의 사진은 구조물의 그림자, 비워진 여백, 시간의 흔적 속에서 생성되는 틈과 침묵에 집중하며, 말로 설명되지 않는 감각적 경험을 이미지를 통해 쌓아가고 있다.

전시 작품은 재개발로 2년간 방치된 한남동의 언덕 초입에서 촬영한 이미지다. 오랫동안 비워진 주택의 입구, 찌그러진 철문 옆에 스며든 빛을 관찰하던 중, 문틀을 지나 내부로 비치는 강렬한 붉은 기운을 렌즈로 포착했다. 붉게 그을린 듯한 표면 위로 얇게 흘러내리는 빛은 무언가 내부에서 새어 나오는 듯했고, 표면에 긁힌 듯한 상처들은 그 흔적을 새기고 있었다. 유기적인 살갗과도 닮은 이 텍스처는 동시에 금속이나 플라스틱의 표면처럼 차갑고 단단한 감각을 주며, 이질적인 재질감은 감정적 층위를 재생한다.

 Junha Hwang has been photographing scenes set against the city at night, capturing moments imbued with emotional textures and lingering traces of feeling. Through the everyday act of walking, he re-experiences familiar urban spaces and slowly reads the emotional layers revealed within the darkness. His photographs focus on the gaps and silences that emerge through the shadows of structures, vacant spaces, and traces of time, accumulating through images sensory experiences that resist verbal explanation.

The work presented in this exhibition was photographed at the foot of a hill in Hannam-dong, an area that had been left abandoned for two years due to redevelopment. While observing the light seeping in beside the dented iron gate of a long-vacant house, Hwang captured through his lens an intense reddish glow passing through the doorway and illuminating the interior. A thin stream of light seemed to trickle across the scorched, reddish surface, as though leaking from somewhere within, while scratch-like marks etched traces of its passage into the surface. This organic, skin-like texture simultaneously evokes the cold, rigid surface of metal or plastic, and these contrasting material qualities generate multiple emotional layers.
