2026년 5월, 자연 속에서 작업하는 작가들의 작업 공간과 일상을 소개하는 ‘예술가의 방’ 섹션에 스페이스 톤의 두 번째 전시, 고소미 작가의 이야기가 게재되었습니다.
설치 작가 고소미는 한지를 모체로 하는 고유 재료, ‘소미사’를 여러 소재와 결합해 자신만의 예술 작품으로 구현하고 있다. 차곡차곡 쌓여가는 시간, 그 안에서 드러나는 개인의 변화와 흔적.
고소미는 이를 한지라는 유한한 소재로 시각화하고 있다.
더 나아가 전통을 오늘의 언어로 되살리려는 그의 조용하고 단단한 여정을 함께 들여다본다.
In May 2026, the magazine featured Ko So Mi’s exhibition at Space Tone was featured in the “Artist’s Room” section.
Installation artist Ko so mi’s works with hanji as a primary material, developing her own distinctive medium, “Somisa,” by combining it with various elements to create unique artworks. Layers of time accumulate, revealing personal change and traces within.
She visualizes these processes through the finite material of hanji.
Furthermore, the feature offers a closer look at her quiet yet steadfast journey to reinterpret tradition through a contemporary lens.
