2025년 11월호 ZOOM IN(국내 갤러리·미술관 소식) 섹션에 스페이스 톤의 개관 소식이 실렸습니다.
다음은 갤러리 소식. 조각 전문 화랑 스페이스톤(합정동 368-37번지)이 오픈했다. 김현아 관장은 “회화 중심인 미술계에서 상대적으로 소외된 조각의 조형적 가치와 치유의 감성을 재조명하는 것”을 설립 목표로 밝혔다. 석파정서울미술관을 건축한 김영조가 갤러리 설계를 맡아 지하 1층, 지상 2층 규모의 원통형 공간을 구상했다. 12월 29일까지 진행되는 개관전의 주인공은 한진섭. 그는 가족, 어린이, 동물 등 포근하고 친근한 형상의 석재 조각을 만들어왔다. 전시는 ‘일상의 무게’, ‘뿌리와 마음’, ‘기억의 정원’ 세 파트로 작품 세계를 조명한다.

Gallery news: Space Tone, a sculpture-focused gallery (368-37 Hapjeong-dong), has opened. Director Kim Hyun-ah stated that the gallery was founded “to reexamine the sculptural value and healing sensibility of sculpture, which has been relatively marginalized in an art world centered on painting.” Architect Kim Young-jo, who designed Seokpajeong Seoul Museum of Art, led the gallery’s design, envisioning a cylindrical space comprising one basement level and two stories above ground. On view through December 29, the inaugural exhibition features Han Jin-seop, known for stone sculptures of warm, familiar forms, including families, children, and animals. The exhibition presents his practice in three sections: “The Weight of Everyday Life,” “Roots and Heart,” and “Garden of Memory.”
